An All-Star Party For Our Three Year Old

The Theme for Jaden's Third Birthday this year was real easy to decide...He loves any kind of ball, his daddy loves Basketball and it's March Madness, so he had an All-Star Party...The last two Birthdays we kept his party real small and simple, just family only but this year we wanted to go all out...We invited all his little buddies including all his little cousins and family...We played some fun little games like Ball Toss, Bob For Apples, and Relay Races...The winners got to pick from a big table full of Sports Items...Had McDonald's (Jaden's favorite FRIES) for the kids and Subway Party Trays for the Big Kids, BasketBall Cake and Cupcakes, Ice Cream and Sherbet...After looking through over 400 pictures that was taken I sorted through all the best and here they are...

The BasketBall is a Jr Ball for Kids...that's what Daddy wanted to
get Jaden for his All-Star party...His very own real BasketBall...

I'm so pleased with how his BasketBall Cake turned out...I spent several

hours decorating and James helped me lay the BasketBall Court

(Hardwood = Graham Crackers) down...I love how his letters matched

all his cupcakes...He told us that he loved it!!!

  The kids had a great time playing all the games...

James was in charge of this part of the party...

The kids all lined up for there turn to play the Ball Toss...Jaden went FIRST since

he was the Birthday Boy...He loved throwing the Ping Pong Ball...After a couple

of tosses he made the Bucket Bowl...

After Jaden's turn he decided that he didn't want the

other kids to play with him so he had a little crying fit...

Wasn't sure if it was that or if he just didn't like the kids yelling

and cheering him on...but either way James continued on with

the kids and I went to calm him down a little...

After the Ball Toss the kids lined up to do Relay Races...I love this

picture...It shows clearly that Hensley was pinching Nate only

because she loves him though...

The best game of the day Bob For Apples...All the kids including

big kids had never, ever Bobbed for Apples before...I loved this game

at my Birthday Parties growing up and couldn't believe that no one there had ever

tried it before...

Shelby Ann almost drowned herself getting one

Wesley (Our Pastor's grandson) tried not once, not twice but three times

and finally got one...

Three Years...These past three years at times has seemed

like an eternity and at other times as if it has flown by...God has

blessed us beyond measure...Today we celebrated 3 years of LIFE!!!

His face still a little red from his crying spell but you know it was his party

and he could cry if he wanted to...

Jaden's NEW SPORT'S Car

a couple of months ago I posted some pictures of Jaden sitting in Seth's

little Jeep, well he loved it...He especially loved pushing the horn and hearing

all the sounds it would make...We knew this was one of the gifts we wanted to get him for his 3rd Birthday...Well ever since that day James and I searched and searched

for him one that had a High Back so we could put his little (ANYWHERE STRAP) around him to

strap him to it since he can't sit up yet...Well I shared with Jaden's Speech Therapist about what we were wanting to get Jaden for his Birthday...She's so good about knowing where to look and how to get things for kids that's a little behind...She was telling us about a Power Wheels Car that's Remote Controlled...So James and I looked it up...it was exactly what we were looking for...the remote is controlled by us and when Jaden gets to where he can drive it himself then we can switch it to Kid Mode and he can then drive it...I believe that James was just as excited as Jaden about this new car...now Daddy gets to drive Jaden up and down and all around...

Buckling him up...Daddy had to do some modifications

to the seat because it wasn't high enough to place

the strap around Jaden...So we bought some

bendable plastic, cut it in the right shape, padded it, and covered

it with some new black leather and it was all ready to go for a spin...

he loves it...James will say, 1-2-3 and Jaden will yell out "GO"

we are getting a special license plate made for the back

so when we go out for our nightly walks Jaden will

be riding in style...who needs a stroller anyways...

as you can see his new car was a big hit...all the kids were chasing

after him...each of them had to take their own spin in it...
