Update : Day 2 AND 3 Post-Op

Jaden has had a rough afternoon with his pain control...weaning the morphine and he's not liking it...He got his "A" line out so that freed up his right arm...so far he has tolerated all his feeds...Praying the new plan for pain control will help him to sleep good thru the night...The PIC-U Team at Kosair is AWESOME, we ♥ them!!!

Just had to re-cath him...hadn't peed since this early am...still in pain..hoping some of his meds kicks in so he can rest and James and I can lay down so tired

looking outside from Jaden's Hospital room and seeing that sun shinning bright, this thought came to mind, praise HIM - for He has been so faithful to us...what is praise? Praise is the steam that rises from a warm ♥ that is filled with gratitude to God for His many and bountiful benefits. ~

waiting for our team of doctors to round...praying that Jaden's kidneys will wake up from being so sedated and start to pee, pee, pee...He hasn't had 1 wet diaper since they removed his cath yesterday, lastnight had to re-cath him and still nothing...been little sicky with oral pain meds, weaning him from IV pain meds....

just gave Jaden an IV dose of lasix...praying this helps his kidneys, he's super positive and is starting to swell...if not will have to re-cath him...he's so uncomfortable and we know he will feel better when he PEES~Just got to hold my sweet boy...just only 2 days post-op...It was so hard on him moving him, but he ♥ every second of it actually we both ♥ every second of it...the nurse and James were able to change his bedding...Thank You Lord for this~

Just went outside to catch a breath of fresh air...Beautiful November day feels like a day in Florida instead of Kentucky...when I got back to the PIC-U the nurse and James said "WE have PEE and lots of it"...praise the Lord the extra dose of lasix helped...now he has to continue to keep it up...

Jaden's Neuro Team just rounded and removed the dressing off his incision, Oh he did not like that...If he continues to have good wet diapers thru this afternoon, we might get to go HOME...Always like to send home the day of removing this to help keep the incision free from getting anything on it                 (HOSPITAL GERMS) so he... has to pee, pee, pee this afternoon...SO 3 days post-op and might be going HOME PRAISE THE LORD~

 

these are all our little updates we have given throughout yesterday and today via text message and FaceBook...So wished that I could add all our pictures we have taken here at the hospital but the hospitals internet security won't allow pictures to post...so will have to post all of them when we get home...Jaden is doing so much better today...he is still real droggy in and out with us but for the most part he's doing super just only 3 days post-op...he's so strong...when I look into his eyes, he gives me what I need to know that everything is gonna be ok, that he's gonna be ok...we are so blessed and feel so relived that the cyst has drained and we are praying so hard that the hole in the cyst will remain open, open for the rest of his life...The God we serve can make a way for this to happen...He allowed the doctor to reach the cyst and now we have to pray, with faith believing that it's gonna stay open.
