Celebrating Papaw

March is a Super Busy month for Birthdays in our Family...March 13th is Nate's then the 18th is Jaden's and then the 21st is my Dad's...So our last Birthday of the month we celebrated my dad, Jaden's Papaw whom he loves to death...some mornings when Jaden wakes up he will yell out Papaw and so I'll call him on his cell phone so Jaden can talk to him...

there's a story behind that candle...A Birthday is not a Birthday without
blowing out a candle on your cake so the only candle we could find
for Dad to blow out was Nate's number 8 candle he had on his Birthday cake...
So my dad turned 62 but his candle was the number 8...really made him feel good...

Matching Cards...for the third year in a roll my sister and I
have bought the same Papaw cards to give to him from our
kids...3 years in a roll...when my dad opened up the second one
he just looked at us and had the biggest smile on his face...
I guess you can say great minds (SISTERS) think alike...

Another story behind this cake as well...ever since I was a little
girl I have baked my daddy his most favorite cake in the whole
wide world Pineapple Upside down cake...well this year it was a little
bit difficult because we are all on diets and it took me forever
to find a good looking and good sounding recipe that was Fat Free
Sugar Free and my moms exact words "Taste Free" recipe...So after the
first recipe I tried, it turned out looking like a piece of rubber...
I tossed it in the garbage and started over with a different recipe...
well needless to say the second recipe was a big hit and
you could hardly tell it was completely Sugar Free...James and I
have lost a total of over 60 pounds since January and we were
not going to let all these Birthdays in March set us back from
our target goal weight coming up soon...
