Easter Morning

Woke up early to see what the Easter Bunny had dropped off for Jaden...

This year for Easter my Sisters and I went down to Sonora (AKA Amish Country) to our Amish Friends to have them Special Make the kids a new Easter Basket...Hensley nor Seth didn't have a basket yet for Easter and Jaden's basket we had for him was too little...we got it for him before he was born and he had it for 2 Easter's but we all decided that it would be so neat to have each of them one made and for them to all be alike...
I really liked the Pottery Barn's Easter Baskets with the Liner and Name on them but when I was out shopping one day up in Louisville at the Mall I went into Pottery Barn and looked in the window where they had a couple of them sitting...they just seemed not very sturdy for $45.00...So I brought the magazine with us the day we went down to pick out our Baskets...We showed them what we were looking for...The Amish Dad said oh I've never made a basket that looks like before...He said he could make them and have them ready for us in a couple of days...We left the magazine with him, and as we were about to leave we saw 3 of their little girls probably ranging from the ages of 10 to 13, sneak the magazine under their aprons and they ran inside their house...My sisters and I were hoping that they wouldn't get into trouble for taking the magazine in to look through it...just the every day little things that we don't even realize are such a BIG DEAL to these Amish Kids...So after a couple of days passed, we went back to get them and they absolutely looked exactly the way we had hoped they would turn out...Now each of our kids will have matching baskets and they should last forever...Super Sturdy and Super Cute...Brenda (My mother-in-law) made the liners from the fabric we picked out and one of our friends sewed the embroidery on each of them...

Love it

he loved his new basket

Daddy helping Jaden open it up

wow, a drum set...

and a Chicken that poops Beans...

a new book

A new Big Boy Ducky Towel

and a Frog one too

as you can see...his new Basket was big enough
for him to fit in...Had to get a picture of him
sitting in it...

Unbelievable to look back just 1 year ago...last
Easter Jaden was just released to go home
from the hospital...We had planned on spending
Easter in the hospital...but the Lord allowed us
to go home shortly after his CP Shunt Surgery...He
was so weak here...God has been so good to us
and we are so thankful how well Jaden is doing just
since this picture was taken... he has endured
a couple more brain surgeries and is doing great...
this picture shows how little Jaden's 1st Amish Basket
was...

Jaden and Daddy last year at Easter...He has come a long
ways...and has gotten so big...

Happy Easter!!!
