Jaden's CP Brain Shunt Stay / Update

Jaden's Neuro Surgeon came in last night and said that we needed to bring Jaden home to recover since he hadn't had anymore IV morphine. Urine, sats, heart rate, and blood pressure was all stable. The risk of him catching something on top of this major brain surgery would be life threatening. He is extremely weak but we are home. PRAISE THE LORD!!! We go back the day before Thanksgiving to have all of his stitches removed.

Jaden slept pretty good through the night and is acting more and more like his self. He is Still so weak. He can only stand to be out of bed about 15 minutes.

We thank everyone so much for all their daily prayers and especially through this last surgery.

We are very thankful and so blessed that the Lord has carried us through yet another mighty storm and now we are on the other side of this. Just trusting in him for a full recovery without any complications and that this is and will be the last surgery ever....As Thanksgiving draws near, James and I were praying so hard we would be home for this great Holiday and it's just only 4 days after his surgery we got to come home...Praise the Lord..We are clinging to this verse
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you

In Our Time Of Trouble...

As James and I pray, we find that the Lords incomparable peace overshadows all of our worries and fears. So thankful He's our Hiding Place and when we call upon Him in truth He's our Song of Deliverance. No matter how bleak things seem we know that He'll never let the righteous fall...

~Pumpkin Patch / Pumpkin Carving Night~

We braved the chilly weather and headed out to the Pumpkin Patch...Nate wanted to tag along to get a pumpkin since Shelby Ann had already went and got hers...We picked out the perfect one's to carve and went home to do just that....James loves to carve pumpkins each year and Shelby and Nate was so excited to get to help do theirs.....After drinking our Pumpkin Spice Lattes we got started. Despite the mess we sure did have a great night hanging out in the garage.....

Uncle Nate holding Jaden

That same night had to come home and carve out our Pumpkins...Shelby and Nate was so excited...They especially loved cleaning out the pumpkin....We had pumpkin slime and seeds everywhere but it was all worth the fun....

They picked which face they wanted to carve and then they got busy....

Nate chose the spider web with a Ghost...Which needless to say it was the hardest one out of all the faces to carve...but James didn't mind because he loves carving pumpkins...

Shelby chose the Happy Face the same one that Jaden picked.....Uncle James and Shelby working on hers....

This one's Shelby's

Shelby and Nate's lit up....

The Proud Pumpkin Carvers...

Nate's turned out really great...He already has his face picked out for next years Pumpkin...

After they carved them out we shinned them up with some clear spray paint...It also helps to make the pumpkin last longer before having to toss it out....

Our Lil Pumpkin.....This one's Jaden's....His daddy did a great job carving it out for him....

It looks so good lit up at night on our front porch.

First Frost of the Year

Frost By: Valerie Bloom
Overnight, a giant spilt icing sugar on the ground,
He spilt it in the hedge rows, and the trees without a sound,
He made a wedding-cake of the haystack in the field,
He dredged the countryside and the grass was all concealed,
He sprinkled sugar on the roofs, in patches not too neat,
And in the morning when we woke, the world around was sweet.
Had to capture the beauty of our First Frost...These Pictures were taken behind our house on Sunday October 18th, 2009
